DFR - Direct to Film Remover
The Professional Solution for Removing DTF Prints
The smart solution for safely removing DTF transfers and residue.
*Back in stock*
AlbaChem DFR Direct to Film Remover is specifically formulated to gently break down DTF prints and adhesive without the aggressive action of standard vinyl removers. Unlike VLR, which works very quickly and can sometimes create a mess with DTF films, DFR works more gradually and controllably, giving you cleaner results with less risk of damaging the garment.
Perfect for correcting misprints, removing failed DTF transfers, or cleaning up residue while protecting the fabric underneath.

How to use DFR
DIRECTIONS: Unscrew spout cap. Puncture centre of white plastic seal. Replace
spout cap. Twist to open and close. Follow directions to remove print using DFR.
- Apply DFR to the fabric underside directly beneath the print area you want to remove. Wait approximately 1 to 5 minutes to allow DFR to penetrate. For best results, after applying DFR let it rest for at least 3 minutes. Removing DTF will remove easier with less residue.
- Remove the Print: Gently peel or scrape off the print material. If necessary, drip DFR directly on top of the print, then peel or scrape remaining image.
- Clean Remaining Residue: Apply additional DFR to a clean, textured cloth (e.g. terrycloth), and wipe away any remaining residue.
- Rinse and Dry: Rinse the area thoroughly with water to flush out any remaining DFR, run through a washing machine. Blot away excess moisture and allow the fabric to dry. For quicker results, heat press the area to speed up the drying process.
- Reprint. Once the fabric is completely dry, the area is ready for reprinting.
- Use and store in a well ventilated area.
- KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
- Always perform a test in a discreet area first.
NB: Some DTF transfers will take longer to remove than others, this is dependant on the base fabric construction, and adhesive powder.
We strongly recommend you test DFR before use. Do not use on acetate fabrics.
